Sweet July + Jacana – Love from Jamaica

Two of my love affairs are being sun-kissed and reggae melodies from Kingston, Jamaica. I have spent many summers in Kingston, Jamaica, as a kid and now as an adult. As an adult, I have frequented reggae parties, eating fried snapper fish from Hellshire Beach, and swimming in Hope River – and this is what Ayesha Curry’s Sweet July Skin Body experience feels like to me.

Ayesha Curry, states, “Sweet July Skin is a culmination of her culinary expertise and the lessons she learned about skincare from her mother and grandmother.”

Recently, Sweet July’s Castaway Cream and the People of Color Nail Polish Trio have released a collaborative beauty set. When I apply the Sweet July Skin’s Castaway Cream to my skin, it helps moisturize my entire body. Sweet July Skin is all clean and vegan, cruelty-free, and combines rich superfoods, to combat any daily skin issues.

The special ingredient in Sweet July Skin’s formula was inspired by Ayesha Curry’s Jamaican household and is the tropical fruit papaya.  The People of Color Nail Polish Trio (Sandy Seashells, Castaway, Brown Eyed Gyal) adds a natural and minimalistic aesthetic to my nails. Originally priced at $50, it is now on sale for $40.

As an adult, I also spent many summers at Cafe Blue in Strawberry Hills, Jamaica, while visiting with my brother – where the Jamaican coffee and lattes were endless. JACANA reminds me of my time spent in the hills where all the nature and earthy sentiments resided. JACANA’s mantra is to embrace wisdom passed down through generations of botanical healersThe Jamaican-based body brand, JACANA’s Hemp and Organic beauty product selections:
